What This Indicator Measures
Weekly FOB Black Sea assessment of UAN solution in USD/mt.
UAN Solutions: A physical price for urea-ammonium-nitrate solution, a liquid nitrogen fertilizer. UAN 32 (32% N) is the North American standard; UAN 30 (30% N) is used in Western Europe.
What the source does not state for this series
- The nitrogen content of the assessed UAN grade is not printed in the loaded row.
Specification · product family only
- The number is the nitrogen content by mass (32% or 30%).
Basis: FOB Black Sea
- FOB (free on board): the price covers the product loaded on the vessel at the named origin; sea freight and insurance to the destination are excluded, so FOB values from different loading areas are not delivered-cost equivalents.
- The Black Sea basis covers loadings from Russian, Ukrainian, Romanian and Bulgarian ports; origin is stated separately where it matters for the price.
Unit: USD/mt
- Most series are USD per metric tonne of product, not per tonne of nitrogen. NOLA barge series are USD per short ton (907.18 kg); Rouen and German inland series are EUR/mt.
- FOB origin and CFR destination values differ by freight and insurance and are not interchangeable.
