What This Indicator Measures
Daily FOB Rotterdam barge assessment of 0.1% sulphur marine fuel in USD/mt, as labelled in the source product table.
Gasoil 0.1%: A physical price for gasoil with a maximum sulphur content of 0.1% by mass (1,000 ppm), a heating-oil and non-road grade. It is not the road-diesel specification and trades as a separate market from 10 ppm product in the same region.
Specification · stated by the source for this series
- 0.1% sulphur maximum (ECA limit), from the series name.
- 0.1% sulphur maximum; other properties follow the source assessment.
Basis: FOB Rotterdam barge
- FOB Rotterdam barge: taken from the source row label “FOB Rotterdam marine fuel 0.1% barge” (code FBEBR00); this code is not listed in the delivery-basis table.
- FOB (free on board): the price covers the product loaded on the vessel at the named origin; sea freight and insurance to the destination are excluded, so FOB values from different loading areas are not delivered-cost equivalents.
- Barge-based ARA/AR/FARAG values refer to inland-waterway barge parcels in the Amsterdam–Rotterdam–Antwerp area (FARAG adds Flushing and Ghent); they are smaller lots than seagoing cargoes and are not the same market as CIF NWE cargoes.
- ARA is the Amsterdam–Rotterdam–Antwerp port and refining complex on the North Sea, linked by the Rhine to inland Europe; barge values here are inland-waterway parcels.
Unit: USD/mt
- USD/bbl values (Singapore, Arab Gulf, Fujairah) and USD/mt values (Europe, Japan naphtha) cannot be compared without a product-specific density conversion; the site does not convert them.
- Published assessments are a low–high range with a midpoint; charts and monthly statistics use the midpoint only.
