What This Indicator Measures

Daily FOB Mediterranean assessment of 0.1% sulphur gasoil cargoes in USD/mt.

Gasoil 0.1%: A physical price for gasoil with a maximum sulphur content of 0.1% by mass (1,000 ppm), a heating-oil and non-road grade. It is not the road-diesel specification and trades as a separate market from 10 ppm product in the same region.

Specification · stated by the source for this series

  • Maximum 0.1% sulphur, from the series name.
  • 0.1% sulphur maximum; other properties follow the source assessment.

Basis: FOB Med

  • FOB (free on board): the price covers the product loaded on the vessel at the named origin; sea freight and insurance to the destination are excluded, so FOB values from different loading areas are not delivered-cost equivalents.
  • The Mediterranean basis covers cargo loadings (FOB Med, typically Italian ports) or deliveries (CIF Med) within the Mediterranean basin.

Unit: USD/mt

  • USD/bbl values (Singapore, Arab Gulf, Fujairah) and USD/mt values (Europe, Japan naphtha) cannot be compared without a product-specific density conversion; the site does not convert them.
  • Published assessments are a low–high range with a midpoint; charts and monthly statistics use the midpoint only.

What This FOB Med Price Represents

This page tracks the daily gasoil 0.1% on a FOB Med basis, quoted in USD/mt. Figures are CommodityScope Indicators synthesized from loaded market editions. They are not a live quote and not a republication of a price-reporting agency table.

How to use this series

  • Follow heating-oil and non-road gasoil pricing in Europe; compare with 10 ppm product in the same basis to read the sulphur differential.

What it is not suitable for

  • Road-diesel pricing (that is the 10 ppm series).
  • Delivered heating-oil retail prices.

Compare With

Each comparison states why the series are related and whether the latest values can be subtracted directly (same unit, currency and assessment date). Where they cannot, the values are shown side by side without a difference.
